Meet Dr. Amir Lamei

Dr. Amir Lamei is proud to serve the community he grew up in. A lifelong East Cobb native, he attended Mt. Bethel Elementary, Dickerson Middle, and Walton High School before earning both his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and orthodontic degree from the Medical College of Georgia.

During his time in dental school, Dr. Lamei distinguished himself as one of only eight students in his class inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He was also inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Upsilon Phi honor societies and served as president of the American Student Dental Association.
After completing his orthodontic training, Dr. Lamei achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction earned by roughly 30% of orthodontists nationwide. He is deeply committed to continuing education and maintaining the highest standards of care for every patient.

Professionally, Dr. Lamei remains actively involved in organized dentistry. He currently serves as a delegate for the Georgia Dental Association, is a past president of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, and previously led the Georgia Orthodontic Foundation. He also serves on the Southern Association of Orthodontists Scientific Committee, helping advance research and clinical excellence within the specialty.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lamei enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their three children — Kian, Niko, and Layla — in their hometown of Roswell, Georgia. He is an avid martial artist and holds fourth-degree black belts in both Shotokan Karate and Taekwondo, where he continues to teach and share lessons of discipline, confidence, and respect that mirror his approach to patient care.

At Enoch & Lamei Orthodontics, Dr. Lamei’s mission is simple — to create beautiful, healthy smiles while treating every patient like family. His warmth, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence are at the heart of everything the practice stands for.
